After a summer filled with adventures and lots of emotions, a young group of natural explorers was formed. A large part of us had been involved in a youth exchange entitled ‘Mountains – what’s behind our fears’ in beautiful Portugal in June. There, we had the opportunity to meet many other interesting people, to create contacts and future partnerships. We worked on the problems of the refugee crisis through the means of the forum theatre. The experience was very inspiring and exciting.

When we came back, we felt the desire to make such a youth exchange here, in Bulgaria. That is why, since September Sashka, Moni, Stoyo, Stas and Nicole have been working on our European youth project under the Erasmus+ programme. We are very much hopeful that our intensive training will produce results and after February we will be able to announce that the exchange is a reality! The topics we will look at are our ways of learning, protecting the mountains, learning through experience, and how we can be successful.

In addition to the youth project, our group is also working on promoting our ‘Mountain, I Love You!’ campaign. We attended Career With (Against) Cause and the Challenge Days festival, where we presented our mission to many people. We created a wonderful buff that will also financially help us to take as many children as possible to the mountains! So far, that’s all from us, we will keep you up to date on all of our activities.
